Welcome. My name is Samuel Brant, once an investigative journalist in my youth, and one half of a Detective Agency, The Mystery Squad, set up by my partner, ex-homicide cop from Boston, Frank Donnelly.
In the 1990s we focused on cold cases, and for me some really old ones. The people and places steeped in history always captured my imagination. We solved quite a few, but there were plenty we just couldn't completely crack.
I'm retired now and living in England with my wonderful wife of over 50 years and counting.
This is my archive. Here I am gathering some of those cases, the ones that we almost solved, or had theories on, but couldn't bring it all home.
There are families out there, descendants of victims of crime, or those wrongly accused, who would love to get some closure, or at least some clarity, and that's what we do here.
I've taken a small case and put it on here for free, so you can give it a go, and there will be more cases coming.
So, as Frank would say 'Don't think like a detective, be one.'

Each casefile comes as a complete pdf, with everything you need contained within. They are ideal to be viewed on a tablet or other electronic device, which enables zooming in to see the details of the evidence.
